Calling all teens! Join us on Monday, May 9 @ 6 pm for the next session of our monthly writers group. Come and work on project, do writing exercises, and hear from other teen writers.
Writing not your thing? Join us afterwards at 7 pm for our Teen Advisory Board meeting (or come to both!). This is your chance to have a say in the library and to help us plan upcoming teen programming.
Do you or someone you know need help filling out forms, balancing a checkbook, or improving their reading skills? Volunteers from Clinton County Adult New Readers (CCANR) will be here on Wednesdays from 10 am-12 pm throughout the month of May to help!
CCANR Volunteers can help with
- Applications for food stamps or jobs
- Filling out forms

- Balancing a checkbook
- Learning to read
Join us on Wednesdays May 11, 18, and 25 @ 12 pm to learn about blood sugar monitoring, carb counting, and heart health along with grocery shopping, eating out basics and more. Taught by Laura Knisley, Clinton County Health Department RN and certified Diabetes Educator.
Classes are free, but registration is required by calling 937-382-7221 x.114
There will be no storytimes during the month of May so that we can get ready for Summer Reading! Storytimes will resume in June.
Visit us on Thursday, April 28 for “Poem in You Pocket Day” and pick up a poem for your pocket!
On Poem in Your Pocket Day, people throughout the United States select a poem, carry it with them, and share it with others throughout the day.
You can also share your poem selection on Twitter by using the hashtag #pocketpoem.
Poems from pockets are unfolded throughout the day at events in parks, libraries, schools, workplaces, and bookstores.
Happy national poetry month!
