Friends of the Library Book Sale

FriendsLogoThe annual Friends of the Library Book Sale is Saturday, October 11, 10am-4pm and Sunday, October 12, 1-4pm. You’ll find hundreds of books, movies, and CDs for sale.  There will be hard cover books, paperbacks, books for children and teens. There will be romances, inspirational books, mysteries, thrillers, cookbooks, gardening books, parenting books, and much more. Sunday afternoon will be bag sale day. Don’t miss this great opportunity to stock up and support the library!

Teen Creative Writing Workshop at Main Library

pen_and_paper_2On Tuesday, October 14 @ 3:15pm Eileen Brady will lead a teen creative writing workshop. Brady has been a newspaper editor and reporter and has worked as a freelance writer and editor.  She co-wrote a small book about the history of Wilmington, where she grew up.  She started a youth section at the Daily News of Jacksonville, N.C., and was the editor of a youth section at the State Journal-Register in Springfield, IL. She has also served two stints as a columnist for the Wilmington News Journal.
