Standards of Behavior Policy 

 

Wilmington Public Library of Clinton County (the Library) is committed to providing a secure and supportive environment for use of its resources and services. To achieve this, the Library has established standards of behavior. To consistently enforce these standards of behavior, the Library has established policies outlining specific violations and consequences for inappropriate behavior on Library premises. The Standards of Library Behavior is a three-part policy designed to:

Shrieves Memorial

Gracing the west side of the steps to the library is a George Lundeen sculpture, “Classics”, made possible by a generous bequest of Harriet L. Shrieves.
Mrs. Shrieves died Aug. 21, 1998, and she and her husband, Sheldon, were closely involved with and supporters of many of the area’s cultural institutions, including the library.

Her husband’s aunts, Dr. Elizabeth Shrieves and Emma Willard Shrieves, both served on the library board of trustees in 1904 at the time of the construction and opening of the original Carnegie grant library.

Library Historical Marker

Historical marker in front of the Wilmington Public LibraryWilmington Public Library was awarded an Ohio Historical Marker in 2016 after research and application was made by Pam Ade, Librarian. The Marker is located on the lawn on the west side of the front entrance of Wilmington Public Library. It was installed and dedicated on June 14, 2019.
